Torreón, México

Torreón is a major city in the northern part of Mexico, in the middle of a desert. It used to be a very important town, acting as the trading port between the United States and Mexico, and for that reason, President Diaz, the dictator, decided to finally resign and flee to Paris after losing the city for the final time.

It's also known as the place of the massacre of Cantonese people, with the abovementioned battle leading to revolutionaries killing around half of its Cantonese population at the time, as an act of hate crime.

The biggest attraction is the statue of Jesus Christ on top of a hill, accessible by cable car.
