Tequila is a small town near Guadalajara (around an hour by bus) in the state of Jalisco. It's of course the birthplace of the drink tequila and there are still many factories within the city. It's also a UNESCO heritage site.

A day trip is more than enough unless you want to go on some tours outside the city. The most interesting part is walking around the factories.
