San Antonio is a major city in the state of Texas in the United States of America, which used to be the capital of the Mexican state of Texas. It's also the location of the five missions that formed the only UNESCO world heritage site in Texas.
The famous Alamo is in the city centre of San Antonio. That's the site of two sieges, where the victory of the Mexican military ended with a thirst for revenge from the illegal American immigrants who declared Texas independent, and began the Republic of Texas. The Republic eventually applied to join the United States.
