Puerta Vallarta, Jalisco, México

Puerto Vallarta, or just Vallarta or PV, is a major tourist resort town on the west coast in Mexico, in the state of Jalisco. To me, the most beautiful thing is the cathedral, which has a crown at the top of its tower. The main square is unique in the sense that it's the only one in Mexico that faces the ocean instead of a municipal palace.

The city itself is not that interesting, it's mostly beaches and shopping. The hill in the city is easy to get to, so don't miss it.

I joined a snorkelling tour to Los Arcos, Las Animas, and Quimixto waterfall. I didn't think it was worth it. Los Arcos were nice, but the beach was just like any other, and the waterfall was not impressive. The tour also had a lot of people.

I also went on a canopy/zipline tour which was nice. A short tour but it was fun. The photos were quite expensive, though - MXN$600 for the ones they took.
