Mexicali, Baja California, México

Writer's picture: Maestro ProfesorMaestro Profesor

Mexicali is the state capital of Baja California, on the northern border with the United States. It's not a colonial city and thus has very few colonial buildings. It's most notable as a city with a huge Chinese community - there's no Chinatown, the whole historic centre is one. The centre is not where the government offices are at, so there are basically two areas of interest. Half a day is enough just for Mexicali itself.
