Landa de Matamoros, Querétaro, México

Landa de Matamoros is a small city in the state of Querétaro in México, which has 1, or technically 2 if you count the much bigger municipality (mostly not urban area) of the Franciscan missions that form the UNESCO heritage site in this area.

Being technically a city, it has the standard colourful letters for people to take pictures with, but the centre is quite small.

It's around half an hour by car from Jalpan de Serra. I couldn't find a combi so I could take only a taxi there. The road between Jalpan and Landa contains more buildings than between any of the other settlements that have a mission, and there was a walking trail that went perhaps 20% of the route.
