Arroyo Seco, Querétaro, México

Arroyo Seco is a small city in the state of Querétaro in México that has one of the five Franciscan missions that form the UNESCO heritage site.

It's around an hour by car from Jalpan de Serra, and on this occasion, I wasn't able to get a combi. The driver offered MXN$1,000 for a tour of the 4 missions outside Jalpan city and I took it (it took almost 6 hours for the whole thing), and this was the first one I went to.

There are a number of settlements between Arroyo Seco and Jalpan, and the view was quite good, being the Sierra Gorda natural reserve area.

The church is quite "chubby" and cute, and the main square also feels more standard than the other ones. The government building seems to be behind some fences and I wasn't able to see much from the outside.

There's also an old tree.
